Leonardo Bonucci, the captain of Italy, has stated that he would retire at the conclusion of the upcoming football season.
With one year remaining on his Juventus contract, defender Bonucci has recently turned 36.

On Juventus’ YouTube page, Bonucci remarked, “When I stop playing next year, it will be the end of a defensive era — a way of defending Italian style.”

The nine-time Serie A champion and 120-cap Bonucci was a member of Italy’s Euro 2020-winning squad.

He spent the 2017–2018 season at AC Milan and earned one title there in addition to eight at Juventus.
